Uric acid is dissolved in the blood and passed through the kidneys into the urine, where it is eliminated. If there is an increase in the production of uric acid or if the kidneys do not eliminate enough uric acid from the body, levels of it build up in the blood (a condition called hyperuricemia). Hyperuricemia is not a disease and it is not dangerous.  If excess uric acid crystals form as a result of hyperuricemia, gout can develop. The crystals form and accumulate in the joint, causing inflammation.

Cucumber juice has a number of health benefits. Namely, it has the ability to lower body temperature, has alkalizing properties and it can effectively remove uric acid from joints, according to studies.

Furthermore, celery and ginger have powerful anti-inflammatory properties and therefore this combination can significantly relieve inflammation.

When drinking this juice, you may feel a mild pain. This is a sign that it works.

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon slice
  • 1 young ginger (an inch-sized piece)
  • 1 medium-sized cucumber
  • 2 celery stalks

Instructions:

First, wash and clean the ingredients well. Cut the celery and cucumber in slices. Cut half of the lemon, and store the other half in the fridge. Shred the ginger root.

Mix all the ingredients and consume the juice 1-2 times a day, until you start feeling better.
