Knowing how unpleasant the feeling of nausea and the urge to vomit can be and what a torment can a person experience due to them, we felt it our duty to introduce you to a very simple method of nausea prevention. If you’re one of those people who easily get nauseous, this method will surely be of great use to you in those ‘desperate’ moments.
Whether you are drowsy, hung-over, you cannot stand long-distance travels, or you’ve eaten fatty, spicy or heavy food, using this trick will help you to easily and naturally prevent vomiting and make you feel better right away.

Nausea Acupressure Point
This method involves the practice of acupressure and here’s what you should do to perform it:
Find the point on your wrist that is placed on the inner part of your forearm, three fingers above your palm and press on it firmly (without causing discomfort) either using your thumb or your forefinger. Press on this point in a circular motion for at least 2-3 minutes and then repeat on your other wrist. The stimulation of this particular point neutralizes the urge to vomit.

This point is known as P-6 (pericardium 6), Nei Guan, or inner gate and you will locate it much easier if you watch the video that we inserted in this article.

By putting pressure on it with the help of your thumb or your forefinger, a signal is sent to the brain, right after which the body starts releasing serotonin, dopamine and endorphin. These hormones will change the chemistry in your organism and relieve you from any sickness and urge to vomit. A gentle massage of the P-6 point will make you feel relieved in no time.
